3.Look for q tips with paper spindles. There are two kinds of q-tips- those that come with a paper spindle or middle part, and those that come with a plastic spindle. Always buy the ones with paper spindles because they can be recycled!

4.One way to avoid using more paper than necessary is to adapt the practice of paying bills online. You can save statements via email and not use up paper!

5.Another way to save up on paper consumption would be to tell your bank to stop sending you monthly paper statements. Some banks will even give you back a dollar if you do this!

1.Give, give, give- Before throwing something away, stop for a moment! Think if there is anybody that could still use it. If there is, then do not hesitate to give it away!

5.Don’t get an answering machine! Or stop using yours! Answering machines use so much energy because they are always on. Opt for the voice mail feature on your phones instead!

1.Why not try to work from home? Ask your employer if there could be a possible arrangement for you to work from home some days during the week. This can save you fuel, and save the company some energy expenses too!

2.In the cold seasons, always remember to keep your fireplace damper closed. Doing so will mean you use up less heat to warm the room up.

3. Cut back on junk mail- Say no to receiving those catalogues and pamphlets when you no you won’t really use them. Don’t subscribe to them just because!

4. Matches over lighters- matches are made up of recyclable material, while lighters are mostly made out of plastic. It’s better to use matches. Also, remember to choose cardboard matches over wood ones!

5.Do you really still use your paper phonebook? If you find that the telephone numbers that you need can be accessed online, tell your phone company to stop giving you a paper phone book an use the online version instead.

1.This should appeal to lovers- shower together! It’s a great way to save up on some water and amp up on some intimacy and sexy time!

2.If you don’t have anyone to shower with, you can take shorter showers! Try to cut back 1-2 minutes!

3.Get some plants, or plant some trees! Mor eplants mean more of them using up the carbon dioxide and creating oxygen!

4.Use the cruise control button of your car- you can get up to 15% better mileage so that means you save up on gas!

5.Don’t scoff at second hand- Consider buying items from the second hand store. It’s your way of reusing and recycling!

1.Remember to defrost your fridge and freezer regularly.

2.Don’t let heat escape from your house over long periods of time.

3.Replece windows from the single glazed kind to those double glazed ones.

5.Cover pots while cooking. Food cooks much faster so less energy and heat are consumed!

4.Avoid idling- If you keep your car idle, it consumes the same amount of energy as starting a car.
