Keep Your Kitchen Green

If you like to cook and spend time in the kitchen you should see to
it that your kitchen is a green practicing place. If you’re not sure of
where to start, here are easy ways to accomplish that.

Make sure your kitchen has appliances that are energy savers. Look
for the best energy saving ones when buying new appliances.

Keep your fridge’s between 38-42 degrees Fahrenheit. Also, don’t
keep on opening and closing the door.

Invest in glass pans as they reduce cooking time.

Never run your dishwasher when it isn’t on a full load.

Ways to Conserve Electricity

1. If you are fond of using the air conditioner, check if it is turned up too high. Will a few degrees lower really make you feel overtly warm? Lower it a little!
2. What about your freezer? Do the doors close tightly? Partly open freezer and fridge doors actually waste a lot of electricity!
3. Check the windows at home. Is there a crack that allows the cold or heat inside? Maybe this is the reason why you need heaters and coolers so much?!
4. Have you formed the habit of turning down the lights every time you exit a room?
5. What about the stove? Is it turned off after you finish cooking?
